The Details

Tasting Note The cool vintage resulted in a powerful and elegant Vintage Cuvée from 2011. A wine with wonderful line and acid drive showcasing the classic sea spray and oyster shell notes that are the hallmarks of the Jansz Tasmania Vintage Cuvée. Over 14 years on yeast lees has not diminished the power and structure of this wine; rather it has become richer and more complex with an incredible freshness and drive that belies the extended time on lees.
Best Enjoyed With Fresh oysters drizzled with finger lime dressing or porcini mushroom arancini.
Treatment Each block on the Jansz vineyard was hand picked and kept as a separate parcel until blending late in the year. Gentle handling, partial barrel fermentation and complex assemblage blending resulted in this classic 2011 Jansz Vintage Cuvee
