The Details

Tasting Note Complex aromas of truffled honey, toast, lemon curd and roasted hazelnuts have evolved with extended time on lees. The defining mineral acid drive is still lively and youthful with added layers and richness from yeast autolysis. A delicious and stylish expression of Chardonnay from the Jansz Tasmania vineyard.
Best Enjoyed With Fresh oysters drizzled with finger lime dressing or porcini mushroom arancini.
Treatment Each vintage the most exceptional parcel of Chardonnay grapes from the Jansz Vineyard is selected to create the Single Vineyard Chardonnay. This is fruit expression in it’s purest form; single vineyard, single variety, single block. This small parcel was whole bunch pressed and only the finest of the first juice retained. It was then fermented and aged in mature French barriques for a number of months to gain further complexity before selection of the best barrels for the assemblage and tirage.
